Stephen Frink to host 2005 Shark Shootout at Stuart Cove’s
Join Stuart Cove’s and Scuba Diving Magazine for their Annual Great Bahamas Shark Shootout, hosted by Scuba Diving’s Stephen Frink and Stuart Cove’s Resident Photo Pro Claudia Pellarini. The Shark Shootout is a week-long event scheduled for November 5-12, 2005 that focuses on one subject matter – sharks. Beginning and advanced photographers alike will rendezvous in the Shark Diving Capital of the World – Nassau, Bahamas – to create a portfolio of images that will amaze you.
So what makes this event so special? It’s Stephen Frink. He is the most frequently published underwater photographer there is. Add to that Stuart Cove’s, a destination that has big animals and the most experienced shark wranglers in the world. Put all together and you have a surefire formula for success in obtaining once in a lifetime images!
Nassau and Stuart Cove’s has long been known as the “Underwater Hollywood”. This year’s participants will have the added bonus of shooting some of their shots on the sets of the soon-to-open feature film “Into The Blue” staring Paul Walker, Jessica Alba and Josh Brolin.
This special event includes diving each day from a 48-foot custom dive boat exclusively available to event participants only. The boat is dedicated to the event for the whole day so that participants can take advantage of prime natural lighting and minimal intrusion from other divers. Besides the new movie set, additional props such as a shark cage are introduced on various days to create different sets and environments to frame your shots with. Throughout the entire program Stephen Frink and Claudia Pellarini are working with participants and offering personal coaching on how to capture the best images possible.
Participants will be staying at the Wyndham Nassau Resort and Casino on Cable Beach. This beachfront casino resort is located in the heart of the Cable Beach hotel district and offers a number of dining options on property and many more within easy walking distance.
Packages start at $1518 per person based on double occupancy. Your package includes 7 nights accommodations, diving for 6 days on a boat reserved exclusively for event participants, Stuart Cove’s Shark Awareness specialty certification, group transfers between the dive shop and hotel each day, a welcome breakfast, a farewell dinner at the Atlantis Marketplace Restaurant, round trip airport transfers, and personal coaching.
