As seen on TV… The Islands of The Bahamas make for a perfect “Extreme Escape”

Today kicks off the first in a series of television spots designed to showcase to travelers in the United States the many reasons why “It’s Better in The Bahamas.”

The Islands Of The Bahamas have partnered with ABC Television Network to bring to life the network’s hit show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, by way of a custom sweepstakes that combines two of the show’s most notable elements – a much deserved home makeover and a fabulous family getaway.

Supported by custom vignettes which will air through Feb. 1, viewers in select major markets can enter for their chance to win an “Extreme Escape” to Grand Bahama Island, which includes airfare and an amazing four-night vacation for a family of four to the all-inclusive Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach. The lucky winner will also receive $1,000 to makeover a room in their home.

To enter the “Extreme Escape” sweepstakes, viewers will be directed to the interactive Web site www.extremebahamas.com, where they can also browse information on Grand Bahama Island, including not-to-be-missed “extreme” activities and much more.

The Islands Of The Bahamas will continue its relationship with ABC in February when another program, loosely themed to the hit show Super Nanny, makes its debut. Similar projects are also underway with other major networks, including NBC and CBS.
